Despite the fact that the two families reported here were both in Berkshire (though Watchfield is now in Oxfordshire), any connection between them must have been distant.

  The Harleian editor first identifies Robert's wife as Anne, dau of _ Pyke of Surrey but then refers to Visitation (Essex) where she is identified as shown below. Anne appears to be the same person as Agnes whose 2nd marriage (as Robert's widow) was "The foundation of the importance of the Blagrave family in Reading" as William Grey left Bulmershe to his stepson John.
