m. Janet (Mary) Mackenzie (dau of Kenneth Mackenzie of Kintail)
1. Thomas Chisholm, The Chisholm (dspm)
  m. (1578) Janet Fraser (dau of James Fraser of Lovat family)

  A. Alexander Chisholm, The Chisholm
  m. (1639) ? Mackenzie (dau of Thomas Mackenzie of Pluscardine)
BLG1952 describes Alexander's wife as his cousin, dau of Alexander Mackenzie of Gairloch. That seems to be wrong not least because, although related to the Mackenzies of Coul, the Mackenzies of Gairloch were was not so close as obviously to support the term "cousin". The Mackenzie we show as his wife was his second cousin. TSP (Seaforth) reports her husband as Alexander Chisholm of Comer which is thought to have still been owned by the head of the family at this time.
