  TSP reports that George is "said to have been created a Baronet about 1638". BEB1841 (Hume of Castle Hume, in Irish section) reports that to have been the case, identifying George as elder son of Sir John of North Berwick and grandson of Patrick of Polwarth, and supplements TSP to provide the following. However, TCB (vol 4, p207) contains an entry referring to BEB1841's report but states:"This, however, is a mistake for the Nova Scotia Baronetcy of Home, or Hume, of North Berwick".
