This section first uploaded 07.06.06, amended 05.02.07. TCB reports that Alexander Hannay, 1st of Kirkdale, was uncle of Patrick Hannay of Sorbie who was ancestor of the 1st Baronet. TCB provides the descent from that Alexander but shows nothing about the ancestry of Sir Robert, 1st Bart, other than to report that he was descended from Patrick, Alexander's nephew. The connection to Sir Robert was kindly provided by a site visitor (DA, 04.02.07).
