Cockayne ends with this generation which is a bit surprising as it appears, from Maddison's Lincolnshire Pedigrees (1906, 'Cracroft of Cracroft Hall in Hogsthorpe', p276) and after consideration of the dates, that one of the surviving sons was his grandfather.

  This was the famous genealogist GE Cockayne, author of 'The Complete Peerage' (TCP) and 'The Complete Baronetage' (TCB).

  Their eldest surviving son became 1st Baron Cullen of Ashbourne.
