Families covered: Grey of Berwick, Grey of Bradford, Grey of Chillingham, Grey of Tankerkville, Grey of Powis (Powys), Grey of Werke (Warke)

We hope (in due course) to record earlier generations for this family, showing (inter alia) how it connects to the Greys of Codnor (shown on Grey01).
Sir Thomas de Gray of Heton (d after 12.03.1343/4)
m. Agnes
1. Sir Thomas Gray of Heton (d before 22.10.1369)
  m. Margaret de Presene (dau of William de Pressene of Presson)
The above details are provided by TCP. BP1934 reports that Thomas following was son of Sir John Grey of Berwick.
  A. Sir Thomas Gray of Heton, Berwick and Chillingham (b c1359, d c12.1400)
TCP identifies Sir Thomas as of Heton and Wark-on-Tweed.

  m. Antigone (dau of Humphrey Plantagenet, Duke of Gloucester)
  (1) Richard Grey, 3rd Count of Tankerville, 1st Lord of Powis (d c1467)
The loss of the Hundred Years War means that the lands in France were lost. TCP treats Richard as the 1st Lord but BE1883, whilst noting that he "sat ... as a baron of the realm", identifies his son John as the 1st Lord. Following TCP, we therefore disagree hereafter with BE1883 as to the numberings of the Lords.
