| Vivian does not add much to what was in Visitation (Devon, 1620, 'Hilman') but shows the family name (from the Richard in the 3rd generation) as Helman or Hellman rather than the Hilman used by the Harleian Etitor of the Visitation. We have also seen the family name spelt Hillman, Holman, Holeman & Hollman. We use Hilman to follow the Harleian editor but that is somewhat arbitrary. | |||||||||||||||
