| (1) Campbell spells the family name as de Kiner, de Kynner & de Kinner before settling with Kinneir; BLG1886 mentions de Kiner and de Kynnere before using Kinnear (and, once, Kinneir). (2) BLG1886 reports that "The intermarriages of the heads of the family were with Forret, of that ilk; Wemyss, of Pittoncrieff; Balfour of Monquhany; Drummond; Moncur; Ramsay of Colluthie; Lord Lindsay, of Byres; Achmuty, of that ilk, &c." Some but not all of those marriages are identified below. |
