Visitation (Oxford) is clear that the elder of Roger's reported sons was ...

  m. Christian Fox (dau of Roger Fox of Wigmore)

  m. Catherine Badby (dau of John Badby of Latchford by Jane, dau of Richard Pipard)
  (1) Thomas Lenthall of Latchford or Lachford
  m. Elizabeth Willie (dau of John Willie or Willis of Bovey Tracy)
  (A) William Lenthall of Latchford or Lacheford
m1. Jane Brome (dau of Sir John Brome or Browne of Halghton or Halton)
(i) John Lenthall
Visitation (Devon) both reports that John dsp and shows a son William, heir of Lachford in 1589. This might be read as dsp being an error for dvp but BLG1952, whose wording on the preceding generations is not fully clear, confirms that the John who married Elinor Lee was in 1580 in possession of the Manors of Latchford and Great Haseley. It is of course possible that he had possession of the family estate in his father's lifetime and dvp.
  m. Elinor Lee (dau of Edward Lee of Pitstone)
  (a) Sir Edmund Lenthall of Latchford and Great Haseley (dsp)
  m. Elizabeth Stonor (dau of Sir Francis Stonor of Stonor)

2. Sir Rowland Lenthall of Hampton Court
According to www.hamptoncourt.org.uk, Hampton Court, the one in Herefordshire not the royal palace in Surrey, was granted by King Henry IV to Sir Rowland at the time of his marriage to Margaret FitzAlan, (second) cousin of the King (and first cousin once removed of the King's wife). Rowland, who was knighted at Agincourt, built the manor house in 1427. He was succeeded by his daughter "who married the Baron of Burford and it was their grandson who sold Hampton to Sir Humphrey Coningsby in 1510." Hampton stayed with the Coningsby family until the early 19th Century.
m1. Margaret FitzAlan (dau of Richard FitzAlan, 10th Earl of Arundel, by Elizabeth de Bohun)
Visitation (Devon) shows all Sir Rowland's children as by Margaret FitzAlan. We provisionally show the sons as by Margaret FitzAlan but, as explained below, show the daughters as by Lucy Grey.
  A. Edmund Lenthall (dspvp?)
  m. Margaret (dau of Lord Zouche)
  B. John Lenthall shown by Visitation (Devon) as 'of Hampton Court' but dvpsp?
  m. Anne (sister of Humphrey Besilles de Besilles Leigh)
m2. Lucy Grey (dau of Richard Grey, 4th Lord of Codnor, by Elizabeth Bassett)
TCP (Zouche of Haryngworth) is clear that Lord Zouche's wife Katherine's mother was Lucy Grey. Furthermore, BLG1952 (Legh of High Legh) [one of whom married the heiress of the Cornwells of Burford] reports "it was through this marriage that the present representative of the family derives his co-heirship to the Baronies of Grey of Codnor, and Basset of Sapcote". This evidences that Agnes was also daughter of Lucy Grey.
  C. Agnes Lenthall
  m. Thomas Cornwell, Baron of Burford (d 1473)
  D. Katherine Lenthall called Alice by Visitation (Devon)
  m. William la Zouche, 6th Lord (b by 1430, d 15.01.1467/8)

2. William Lenthall of The Priory, Burford, Lord Lenthall (b 06.1591, d 01.09.1661, Speaker of the Long Parliament, Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster)
William was influential ineffecting the restoration of King Charles. Nevertheless, the Peerage granted to him by Oliver Cromwell appears not to have been confirmed.
  m. Elizabeth Evans (dau of Ambrose Evans of Lodington)
BEB1841 shows Catherine who married Lord Paisley, shown above as William's niece, as one of William's daughter. TCP (Abercorn) confirms that we are right to follow BLG1952. Consequently, we follow BLG1952 on the other children rather than BEB1841.
  A. Sir John Lenthall of Besselsleigh, Sheriff of Oxfordshire, Governor of Windsor Castle (d 09.11.1681, Colonel, MP)
  (1) The baronetcy granted to John by Oliver Cromwell appears not to have been confirmed.
(2) BEB1841 suggests that John's first wife (sp) was Rebecca, daughter of T. Bennet, alderman of London, but BLG1952 identifies her as ...
