BLG1879 reports that the following family "claims to be a branch of the ancient house of Powell of Penkelly, co. Hereford" and identifies their arms as "Or, a chevron between three lions' gambs erect and erased gu." ('Wilts' shows that gambs = paws). ## See here ## for reference to a Powell of Pengethly.
