Walter de Pedwardyne (presumed to be Bredwardine, Herefordshire)
Maddison identifies Walter's wife as Maude. It is a presumption that she was ...
m. Maud de Lingen (dau of John de Lingen)
1. Roger de Pedwardyne (of Pedwardine)
  m. Alice de Longchamp (d 1330, dau of Henry de Longchamp of (Burton and) Warnborough Manor)
Maddison follows the line of their son Sir Roger. Various web sites show Florence, heiress of Bredwardine, as daughter of the following Walter. It would not surprise us is if in fact Bredwadrine passed into the Vaughan family through marriage with the Devereux family (see here),who had obtained it through the Barre family (see possible connection below), but that might possibly be too many generations, although the following Walter may have been confused with the Walter above.
  A. Walter de Pedwardyne of Pedwardine aka Bredwardine

  m. Sir Walter Vaughan of Bredwardine ## see here ##

Maddison has 2 sections for the Pedwardines of Burton Pedwardine (pp. 764-765 & 1295-6) which disagree with each other. We presume that the latter, which appeared in the final volume, corrected the first and so show the latter (but add some siblings mentioned in the first but not the second version).

  m. Elizabeth Pierpont (dau of Robert Pierpont)
  (1) Walter de Pedwardine (dvp 1420)

  ## Maddison's first version shows Roger, Margaret (m. Alexander Leeke), Katherine (wife of Nicholas Dene then David Cecil), Joan (dsp) and Anne (m. John Mackerell) as children of Walter by Katherine (not there identified as an Ingleby). The second version shows only Roger.

  m. Alexander Leeke (son of Matthew)
m2. Katharine or Margaret Markham (dau of Sir John Markham of Notts, widow of Matthew Leake of Honlande)
Maddison's first version names her Katherine, dau of Sir John Markham of Notts, widow of Matthew Leake of Honlande. Maddison's second version names her Margaret, dau of Sir John Markham of Sedgebrooke, Lord Chief Justice, remarried to John Flete of Frampton. We connect to the Margaret, shown on Markham01 as sister of the Lord Chief Justice.
  b. Sir Walter de Pedwardine of Clipston (a 1412)
  (1) Sir Walter de Pedwardine of Clipston
Maddison's first version does not mentions either this Walter or his father. We follow the second version which shows his wife plus just one daughter, Katharine, plus her descendants.
