Visitation identifies the arms of the following family as "Per pale or and argent, a chevron between three eagles' heads erased sable" but then adds the following note: "They also bear the following arms: Paly of eight or and gules, on a chief argent three lozenges of the second (another - three roses gules, seeded or). All these arms are depicted on the mural tablets set up to Luke Wilkes and Edward Wilkes in the chancel of Leighton-Buzzard Church".
