We presume that various of the Langton families arose from different towns/villages called Langton. However, we have yet to be sure that we have found what connections there are between the different families. Other lines are on Langton01, Langton04 (draft) and Temp35.

The familyorigins site follows the line that moved into Ireland. We presume that the main line continued at Farley. The following was found on http://fabpedigree.com which did not identify its source. It showed the following John (m. Joan Nevill) as son of Thomas (by Anne, dau of Thomas Rochford) son of John (by Joan, dau of Nicholas Tamworth) which looks similar to a line of Langtons of Langon (see here) but then shows that earlier John as son of Henry (by Margery, dau of Roger Fulthorp) son of Alan (by Catherine, dau of John Lisle) which looks similar to a line of Langtons of Wynyard (see here). Noting the conflicts with what we have found elsewhere, we show it here pending further investigation.
