m. _ Ryther (dau of Sir Ralph Ryther)
a.+ issue - John, Robert of Heley, Richard (monk), Ralph of Missenden Corbut, Thomas of Leyton Buzzard then Banbury
Visitation (Yorkshire, 1563-4, Rookes) provides the above and ends with this generation. The Harleian editor added the following note: "The second, fourth, & fifth sons departed out of the country 1428, and were resydent in Buckinghamshire." With bold (hopefully not foolish) presumption, we speculate that one of Robert, Ralph & Thomas was father or grandfather of the following Thomas who is the first mentioned by VCH & Visitation (Buckinghamshire).
  (1) Thomas Rooks of Fawley, Buckinghamshire
  m. (by 1477) Margery Sackville (dau/heir of Thomas Sackville of Fawley)
  (A) Thomas Rookes of Fawley
  m. (Cecilia) Fowler of Ricott
  (i) Thomas Rookes of Fawley, Sheriff of Bedfordshire & Buckinghamshire (a 1477, d 1527)
VCH identifies the grandson of the Thomas who married the heiress of Fawley as being the Sheriff. VCH reports that his son Thomas dvp so that this Thomas was succeeded by his grandson Edmund.
  m. _ Stonner (dau of Sir William Stonner (Stonor?) of Stoner)
  (a) Thomas Rocks or Rookes of Fawley (dvp)
m. Elizabeth of Minster Chamber
((1)) Edmund Rookes of Fawley (dsp?)
Visitation does not mention Edmund but does indicate that there was issue in this generation other than just Robert.

m1. Mary Godsalve (dau/heir of Thomas Godsalve of Norwich)
  ((A)) Phillis Rookes
  m. Thomas (probably not William) Lovelace of Kilham
m2. (before 1566) Elizabeth Oglethorpe (dau of John Oglethorpe of Newington, m2. John Alford)
  ((B)) Elizabeth Rocks (d 1608)
  m. Sir William Alford
