| There is disagreement between our 2 sources for this page as to the ancestry of the undermentioned George, Vicar of Staines. Maddison shows the following, starting his article with the brothers Robert & Thomas. As the coat of arms (later members) of this family is clearly based on that of the Bards of North Kelsey, and as BE1883 ('Bard, Viscount Bellamont') identifies the Viscount as "the lineal descendant of the family of Bards of North Kelsey", provisionally we give precedence to showing the connection to that family as is given in CTG. | |||||||||||||||
