  The Bland Family book and Visitation start with this Adam. Visitation reports that he "descended of the house of Gibord in com. Westmoreland". The Bland Family book reports that he "descended from Roger Blande, a second Brother of the Antient (sic) House of Gibard, in the County of Westmorland".
