Families covered: Farquharson of Balfour, Farquharson of Birse, Farquharson of Finzean

Robert Farquharson, 1st of Finzean (d 1632)
m. Margaret Macintosh (a 07.1648, dau of Lauchlan Mor Mackintosh of that ilk)
Margaret is not found as a daughter of Lachlan Mor Mackintosh. That would normally be considered as probably a simple omission but she is also identified as "widow of Angus McDonald, 4th Laird of Glengarry". Whilst it is possible that she was an unrecorded 4th wife of Angus, 7th of Glengarry (who d 1574), or even a divorced wife of his long-lived son Donald, this added uncertainty leads us to check her identity further before making a connection.
