Elizabeth Greenfield of Stowe but notes that that William was "6th in descent from Nicholas Yeo and Elizabeth", whom it identifies as dau/heir of Sackville of Heanton Sackville. Vivian identifies Nicholas's wife as Elizabeth, dau/heir of Henry Killigreu of Heanton Sachvile. BHO (Magna Brittania, vol 6: Devonshire, Parishes: Pancras Week - Plymouth) reports that "The manor of Heanton Sachville, in this parish, belonged to the ancient family of Sachville, from the reign of Richard I. to that of Henry III.: afterwards to the Killegrews; by an alliance with which family it came to the Yeos, in the beginning of the reign of Edward III" (who r. 1327-1377).
