It is difficult to distinguish between the various Maldreds, Uchtreds and Cospatricks who were powerful in the north of England around this period, some of whom were related to each other by blood and others by marriage. Initially we showed Dolfin, lord of Raby, as son of Uchtred FitzGospatric on Swinton01. That is shown by (for example) Commoners (vol 2, Nevile of Thorney). We now follow what appears to be the general consensus which is that he fits here.
