| BE1883 is unclear at this point, identifying a son Thomas (in capital letters, normally an indication that he was the successor) as by Sir Henry's first marriage, with a son John by the 2nd marriage and sons Henry, Philip and Robert by the 3rd marriage, but then reports that he was succceeded by his eldest son, Sir Henry. Either BE1883 made a mistake and should have named his successor Thomas or he should have mentioned that his successor was the eldest son of the 3rd marriage.
