to tradition, Maurice,
son of George who was a younger son of King Andrew of Hungary, accompanied
Edgar Atheling, heir to the English throne, from Hungary to England. They
were shipwrecked on the shore of the Forth. In 1068/9, one of Atheling's
sisters, Margaret ('the Saint') married Malcolm
III 'Canmore', King of Scots, from whom Maurice received the estates
