The more we investigate this matter the more we realise that we are going round in circles and that any decision we make on this would be based not on 'facts' but on how impressed we happened to be by the sources we happened to investigate. That information also identified Roger's elder sons, Reinfrid and Ralph.br (2) BE1883 identifies Roger Fitz-Reinfride (one of the justices of the King's Bench) as father of the following Gilbert but does not name Gilbert's mother.
