(1) BEB1844 uses the old version of this name, Mildme, until the 16th century but we follow BP1934 which uses Mildmay from the 13th century.
(2) The top section of this page follows what is shown by BP1934 but is not fully convincing, not least because there appear to be overlapping generations. This doubt is enforced by the fact that BEB1844 reports that the Thomas who married Margery/Margaret Cornish was son of a Sir Robert Mildme, spouse of Matilda Le Rous, who was "descendant in the sixth degree" of the Roger shown below as alive in 1293. BP1934 shows more generations.
Hugh Mildme (a 1147)
1. ?? Mildme
BP1934 reports that the above Hugh was ancestor of the following Sir Robert but BEB1844 suggests that he was his father.
  A. Sir Robert Mildmay
BEB1844 identifies the Sir Robert Mildme, father of the Thomas who married Margery/Margaret Cornish, as having married Matilda Le Rous. BP1934 shows Matilda Le Rous as wife of this Sir Robert. This major difference makes it certain that it is not clear where Matilda fits in.

  ((1)) Robert Mildmay of Stonehouse (a 1394)
  ((A)) Robert Mildmay of Stonehouse (a 1402)
This is probably the Robert who is shown by BEB1844 as father of the Thomas who married Margaret Cornish but BP1934, which names her Margery, shows the following intervening generation. After this, the two sources do not contradict each other.
  ((i)) Thomas Mildmay (a 1439)
