'Twysden1' Families covered: Twisden of Bradbourne, Twysden of Chelmington, Twysden of Roydon Hall BP1934 (Twisden) reports that the1st Bart of Bradbourne spelled his name 'Twisden' to distinguish his line from that of his elder brother who used 'Twysden'. However it appears that, before that, the spelling of the family name varied almost interchangeably between 'Twysden' and 'Twisden'.
