There is some uncertainty over the sons & wives of the next generation. Visitation (Worcestershire) shows Gilbert then a Robert who m1. Elizabeth Wirrall (mother of John who m. Allice Tirry) m2. Catherin Throgmorton (mother of George, m2. Thomas Smyth). Visitation (Gloucestershire) shows Gilbert then Robert (m. Elizabeth Wyrall, mother of John who m. Alicia Tirrey) and another Robert (m. Katharen Throgmorton, mother of George) but the Harleian editor also shows that the Robert whose widow was Katherine (family name not given) was Roger's heir. VCH (Worcestershire, vol 3, Parishes: Huddington) reports that the widow of the Robert who d 1549 was Catherine (family name not given) who m2. Thomas Smith. Note that Visitation (Warwickshire, 1619, Throgmorton) shows that Katherine Throgmorton m1. William Smith m2. Thomas Smith of Camden. Provisionally, we follow what is given by the Ingilby History site but this leads us to presume that the various Visitations are all wrong as to the identification of the wife of Thomas Smith (see below).
