There is some contradiction between Commoners & BLGI1912 regarding the first generation of the following family that came to Ireland. Assuming that BLGI1912 was based on research made after Commoners, we have followed BLGI1912 but added information from Commoners where that provides information not given by BLGI1912.

BLGI1912 reports that Louis had 8 children. "At the Revocation, almost all this family fled to Holland; but the following eventually settled in Ireland", then naming Louisa, Samuel, William, Jeane, Anne & Marie. It looks very much as though this is the same person as the first person named by Commoners, "from whom the Irish branch is descended", with 6 children: Louis (m. _ Crommelin), Samuel (m. _ Bellecastle), Alexander, William, Magdeline & Mary (m. Major de la Cherois. However, Commoners names him Samuel. Combining the sources, we show below 8 children of this Louis aka Samuel.
