Families covered: Coghill of Coghill Hall, Coghill of Knaresborough, Cawarden of Mavesyn Ridware, Cheesman of Dormans Well, Cheesman of Lewisham

BP1934 starts with Sir John Coghill of Coghill Hall & Drumcondra, identifying him as "seventh in descent" from the following John. Walker starts with Thomas (m. Mary Slingsby) and finishes with a John, 6th in from that Thomas.
John Cockhill (sic) of Cockhill & Knaresborough, Yorkshire (a 1399) presumed father of ...

The following connection is presumptuous but it is not unlikely that this was the John of London who is the first mentioned in Visitation (Oxfordshire, 1634, Coghill of Bletchington) which provides the following.
m. Susan Vyele (dau of Dennis Vyele)
  (1) Henry Coghill
  m. Faith Sutton (dau/coheir of John Sutton of Aldenham)

Visitation ends with the next generation, showing the children born by 1634. However, the Harleian editor has listed some baptism & burial dates which add Faith & Maria just below (and Thomas, John & Faith just above). Although she is normally identified as dau of Sir John Coghill of Bletchingham, the dates indicate that the Faith just below was possibly the wife of Sir Christopher Wren.
