Griffith does not follow the line of Einion but does identify him as "ancestor of the Davies' of Gwysanau". Except that it omits the above Meilir, this appears to be the Eignion ap Gronow (descended from Kenerick Evell) mentioned in MGH (vol 1, 1868, p190) which provides the following connection.
