BEB1844 reports that William married Mary Bruce first and then Mary Tufton with all of the children by Mary Tufton. However, TCB reports that the marriages were the other way noting (and reports that Robert's mother was Mary Bruce) which, noting the dates and that in BE1883 (Tufton of Thanet) Mary Tufton's husband is identified as "William, son and heir of Sir William Walter, of Saresden, co. Oxon, Bart.", we follow.
