collected from the most authentic accounts extant by James Caulfield (published in London in 1819-20 in four volumes)
I found this delightful set of books in a bookshop some years ago (in Nailsworth?) and wanted to share some of their interesting stories. At the moment I have just the Contents/Index to show but I hope in the near future to provide several of these interesting & amusing profiles through the tables below.
