  (1) Wikipedia "Niall of the Nne Hostages" reports that Niall was "a legendary, semi-historical Irish king" and reports confusion as to when he lived but suggests that it was probably in the first half of the 5th century.
(2) Somewhat confusingly, O'Hart (p710-1) reports that Niall had 12 sons, numbering them I II III etc, but states that I to VII were all by his 2nd wife.
