Nichols, 'Currie of Bush-Hill', p175+ in the 'Doubtful Pedigrees' section) reports that that family had settled at Dunse in 1571, being "derived from Cuthbert Currie a cadet of the family of that ilk in Annandale, Dumfriesshire".
