  There is some contradiction between BEB1844 and Visitation over the next generations. We follow BEB1844 as that does refer to the Visitation so we presume that it has taken the Visitation into account but determined that it was not fully reliable.

  Visitation (1633-4) names him William. Visitation (1662) starts with this generation, naming him Alexander, which is supported by BEB1844.
