  The following comes from 'The Hundred of Launditch and Deanery of Brisley' (G.A. Carthew, 1877, Part 2, 'Hogan or Hoogan', p804) with support from Visitation (Norfolk, 1664, 'Hoogan') which identifies the arms of the following branch as "Argent, a chevron vaire or and gules between three hurts each charged with a lion's gamb erased of the field".
