However, Visitation (Hampshire & Isle of Wight, 1686, Wyther of Hall), which supports the following, starts with Richard of Mannydown who, by a dau of William Poynter of Whitchurch, "may have had issue" Henry, father of George of Winchester (shown in italics) & Gilbert of Hall. Clearly, there is some confusion on who was father of Gilbert and even more uncertainty with the parentage of George of Winchester.
