| The connection provided here, linking the Counts of Aragon to this Aznar, son of Duke Eudo of Aquitaine, is given by 'Royal Genealogies' and may not be reliable. The linkage as shown here is slightly artificial given that 'Royal Genealogies' and GenEU differ as to the names of some of the Counts. The first person shown by GenEU is the Aznar who died c839. It is possible that Garcia, Count of Aragon who married Matrona (daughter of that Aznar), provided the true connection between the two lines so that that Garcia was the (alleged) descendant of Duke Eudo rather than Matrona. | |||||||||||||||
