Eoachaidh Dubhlen (a c300CE?)
We indicate that Eoachaidh Dubhlen was probably alive in/around 300CE. This is because O'Hart reports that his father was slain in battle in 284.
m. Alechia (dau of Uodar, King of Alba)
O'Hart reports that their 3 sons were known as "The Three Collas ... (from whom) descended many noble families".
1. Muireadach, "Colla da Chrioch (or Facrioch)" ("Colla of the Two Countries (Ireland and Alba)")
O'Hart suggests that Colla Uais was ancestor of many families of Ulster & Hy-Maine including Cassidy, Corrigan, Higgins, Kelly, Muldoon, etc. etc.. Some of the connecting descents are shown below. Others may be added in due course.

  (1) Criomthlan Liath, King of Orgiall

  (A) Eochaidh (Eochy), King of Orgiall
(i) Cairbre an Daimh Airgid, King of Orgiall
O'Hart (p671) reports that Cairbrie had many sons, naming just Tuathal & Fearach, but then reports that Tutathal had 2 brothers, Lochlann & Clochar.

2. Carioll, "Colla Uais" ("Colla the Noble", 121st Monarch)
O'Hart suggests that Colla Uais was ancestor of many families, not least the MacDonald Lords of the Isles (see MacDonald01). Some of the other families listed by O'Hara are descendants of those MacDonalds. Of those who are not, the suggestion that he was ancestor of the Howards of England (see Howard01) looks somewhat suspect.
