Eochaidh
Eochaidh was a grandson of 'Niall of the Nine Hostages' who probably lived in the first half of the 5th century. O'Hart shows 31 generations between Eochaidh and the first person for whom a date is provided - Conall O'Molloy of Fircall (a 1590, a descendant of Rory), shown on the continuation from below - which (very roughly) provides an average gap between generations in the range 35-40 years, which seems quite high. Nevertheless, we have used that to estimate that Rory & Cuilleann (below, leading to the continuation page) may have been alive in/around the beginning of the 14th century. However, see the note below which indicates that there may be a problem with that estimate.

We estimate above that Rory & Cuileann lived in or around the beginning of the 14th century. However, the continuation shows concerns on the number of generations from these brothers to certain of their descendants.

Uigin
Uigin was a brother of Eochaidh above and so probably lived in the second half of the 5th century. O'Hart shows 28 generations between Uigin and the first person for whom a date is provided - Teige Oge Higgins (a 1657), shown on the continuation from below - which (very roughly) provides an average gap between generations in the range 40-45 years, which seems high. Nevertheless, we have used that to estimate that Aodh (Hugh) O'Higgin (below, leading to the continuation page) may have been alive in/around the late 15th century.
