We presume to follow Berry who published his report on Visitation (Sussex) in 1830. (2) Apparently following different branches (or individuals) of the family, their arms are identifies as follows: * by Visitation (Surrey) as "Azure, a mullet argent, charged with a rounded gules"; * by Visitation (Sussex) as "Azure, a mullet argent, pierced gules, in dexter chief a crescent or for difference"; * by Berry as "Az. a mullet ar. charged charged with a torteaux". |
