Families covered: Dobbs of co. Antrim, Dobbs of Castle Dobbs
| The Burke sources all identify the arms of this family, quartered wtih those of Dalway, as "per pale sa. and arg., a chevron engrailed between tree unicorns' heads erased all countercharged". BLGI1912 & BLG1937 both start with the John Dobbs who went to Ireland. Only BLG1858 mentions that he "is stated to have been grandson of Sir Richard Dobbs, lord-mayor of London in 1551".
