  TSP reports that John was killed with his father at the siege of Dundee. 'LeslieRecords' suggests that that was David, another son. Of his children, TSP reports (briefly) only his son John. The other children are as reported by 'LeslieRecords' except that we show Elizabeth a generation earlier.

However, TSP (Lindores) reports that his claim did succeed with a decision to object to him, which may have led Colonel Lesllie to think that his claim failed, being applicable only to certain votes that he took rather than to his title.

We support TSP not least because above is shown James, Elizabeth's brother, who married William Dick's daughter by his 1st wife.
