Families covered: Ross-Lewin of Fortfergus, Ross-Lewin of Ross Hill

Presumably descended from George Ross of Fortfergus (b 1625), Sheriff of co. Clare in 1664, who "claimed descent from the noble and once powerfull Rosses of England, and bore their arms", was the following John. Following BLGI1912, we show this family under Lewin rather than Ross but will rename the page should we discover that the paternal line was in fact Ross.
