Families covered: Lisle of Acton, Lisle of Elyhaugh, Lisle of Newcastle, Lisle of Old Felton, Lisle of Weldon

Hodgson describes the arms of this family as "Ermine a lion rampant azure" which suggests that it is a branch of that shown on Lisle03. Robert, son of the following Tristam, is reported by Hodgson as being described in the will dated 31.03.1646 of Ralph Lisle of Low Framlington as his "friend and kinsman" and also as Ralph's "cousin". That Robert's son Robert (d 1668) is identified as "cousin and one of the devisees of Robert Lisle of Felton", possibly the Robert (dsp 1659) shown on Lisle04.

  p. Dorothy Lisle (a 1720, dau of Robert Lisle of Hazon)
According to our (downloaded and not always clear) copy of the Main Source, the connection between John and Dorothy appears to be a hand-written squiggly line which we interpret as indicating a partnership rather than a marriage. The Elizabeth shown immediately above is identified as the "daughter and sole heir". We cannot see the connecting line between John & Dorothy and the following but it appears that they were their children.
