Families covered: Reeve of Leadenham, Reeve of Thwaite (Thwayte)
[The sections below were originally launched on 20.09.13 within a Draft version of this page. They were moved here after review led to acceptance that there was little chance of our making a significant improvement to them in the near future and that they were 'good enough' to be promoted into the main database. That view was was not reached for what had been the upper section of that Draft page, which section has been moved to a Temporary page]

HoP reports of the undermentioned Sir George that his "ancestors had held the manor of Thwaite since the reign of Edward VI" (who r. 1547-1553). We speculate that this family was connected to the family of Bury St. Edmunds which is reported in Visitation (Walter Metcalfe (1882), Suffolk, 1561 & 1612, 'Reeve of Bury St. Edmunds') but have not seen any evidence to confirm that. Unfortunately, we cannot find any connection at all between that family and any family in this database.
