| Commoners shows just one wife for Thomas, Dorothy Hardcastle. This is supported by BLG1886. FMG notes that "In Burke's peds. the issue is from the 1st wife" but nevertheless shows the issue by a 2nd wife. However, the eldest son John is shown as baptised before the date of death given by Commoners for the 1st wife.
