| (1) BLG1886 (Tighe of Woodstock) commenced its article as follows: "The name of Tigh, Tygh, Teigh, or, as now written, Tighe, was assumed from a village in Rutland, and in the immediate neighbourhood of which place, at Corby Castle, co. Lincoln, the family was long settled, where Leicester Teigh, or Tigh, the last of the English line, was residing temp. Charles II., in the previous reign, and before the Rebellion of 1641." (2) As reported on Tighe2, we are unsure how the Tighes of Mitchelstown connect to the family shown below and so show them separately. |
