Sir John Cockburn of Ormiston (d 1623, Lord Justice Clerk, 2nd son) - continued above
Cockburn-Wood (p142) reports that Sir John had 5 children by Janet Home (Patrick, Margaret, Catherine, Helen & Jean), shows no children by Elizabeth Bellenden, and shows the marriages of the daughters on p147. TSP (vol 7, p576) confirms that Margaret was the eldest daughter whilst TSP (vol 6, p596) identifies Katherine as the eldest daughter by Elizabeth Bellenden. We presume that Helen & Jean were also by Sir John's marriage to Elizabeth Bellenden.

Cockburn-Wood (p153) suggests that this Barbara m. Henry St. Clair, (8th) Lord. [The references to the numbering of the St. Clair lords is not to be relied on.] Provisionally, we show that Barbara ## here ##.
