Sir David Gam (d Agincourt 25.10.1415)
This was the David Gam who opposed Owain Glyndwr and is supposed to have saved the life of King Henry V at the battle of Agincourt. Wikipedia ('Sir David Gam') reports that 'Gam' comes from the Welsh word meaning lame or deformed (hence 'gammy leg'), confirms that Gwladys was David's daughter, and reports that some of his descendants "adopted the surname 'Games' to mark their connection to him".
