William Gladwin of Cold Aston by Dronfield, Derbyshire (d c1607)
1. Thomas Gladwin (b 14.04.1598)
  m. Jane Syddon
  A. Thomas Gladwin of Tufton (near Chesterfield), Sheriff of Derbyshire (b c1628, d 1697)
We are following FMG but BLG1952 shows this Thomas as 2nd son (the elder being William who d unm) of William of Cole Aston by _ Rolleston.
m1. Helen Cowley (dau of Giles Cowley of Ashover Hill Top)
i. Thomas Gladwin of Tufton, Durrant Hall
m1. Mary Clarke (dau of George Clarke of Watford, sister of Sir Robert)
In MS255, FMG reports that the issue of this marriage are given in MS254 (which provides a tree for Slyman-Gladwin). Unfortunately, that MS254 does not provide a clear connection. In a note, MS254 shows the following 3 daughters as heirs of Thomas Gladwin of Tupton, Durant Hall & Monyash (d 1721), son of Thomas of South Winfield (and part Monyash) who purchased Boytorp in 1667.
