Thomas de Logan
Believed to be descended from this Thomas was the undermentioned Adam. As Thomas was probably alive around the beginning of the 13th century, it is unlikely that there could have been more than one generation between them.

Paterson reportts that William Logan (WS), probably the William shown in the second generation below, was a grandson of Robert of Restalrig (probably the 7th, shown near the top of Logan02), but states that "Robertson must be greatly in error: as there were Logans of Logan, in Cumnock parish, long before the period he writes of. There were, besides, other places called Logan in Ayrshire. It is very possible, at the same time, that the Logans of Logan may have been connected with the Logans of Restalrig."
